REGISTRATION FORM

 

Registration for the 2011-2012 dance year will be on Wednesday, July 13th  from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at the studio.  A one-time registration fee of $10.00 per new student is required.  If you pay your first months fee at registration, we will waive the $10.00 registration fee. 

All current students are automatically registered for the next year.  If you desire a change in curriculum, please let us know.  If the student needs to order dance shoes, bring them to registration and we will take orders then.  Shoes must be paid for at the time of order.

 Because the student is holding a very valuable spot in our class, there will be NO REFUNDS.  If a student is injured, please contact Miss Lauri if you have a specific situation.

We will start classes on Monday, August 15th, 2011 and finish the dance year on Saturday, May 26th,  2012 at our dance recital which is held at Danville High School Auditorium.

 

The fourth week of October will be a designated watch week for parents to observe their child�s progress.  Only two people per student will be allowed during watch week.   No siblings will be allowed during watch week.  This is to insure an atmosphere conducive to the student's learning.  

 

 

HOLIDAYS

The Laurel School of Dance will be closed for the following holidays:

            September 5th, 2011                                                                   Labor Day

            October 31st, 2011                                                                     Halloween

            November 21st, 2011 through 24th, 2011                                Thanksgiving Break

            December 19th , 2011 through December 30th , 2011                  Christmas Break

            TBA                                                                                               Spring Break

 

RECITAL

We plan a dance recital each year at the end of the last session.  We encourage all students to participate in the recital.  Since costumes become more expensive as the child matures, we have four different costume rates:

Pre-School student pay $60 per costume

Intermediate students pay $65 per costume

JR/Senior Level students pay $75 per costume

Company Level  pay $80 per costume

For extra large costumes add $10 to the above fee.

Alterations (if needed) are extra (unless you do them yourself) and payment is not due until their completion.

 

If your child is going to participate in the recital we require a deposit of $25 per costume no later than September 29th.  Any student or family with 3 or more costumes must deposit one-half of the total costume fee by October 6th.  After that, you can make payments of any amount that you choose, but the total balance must be paid in full by November 17th.  If not paid by November 17th we will refund any money you have paid and a costume will not be ordered for the student.  This gives you 3 months to pay for costumes.
