Laurel Soderstrom-Davis (MDE)
Laurel Soderstrom-Davis: (owner/director) is a certified Master Dance Educator (MDE), has been teaching dance for over 42 years. Laurel currently serves as Treasurer of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters and has been on their board of directors for 11yrs and a member for over 31yrs
This is her 32ND year as owner/director of the Laurel School of Dance. Laurel has studied dance
for over 51years. She has studied at the Broadway Dance Center and Steps on Broadway in New York
City. Her educational roots extend from local studios, the former National Academy of the Arts in Champaign, IL, Chicago land area workshops.
Laurel is dedicated to the art of dance and continues her education to stay current in her field.
Laurel has certificates for Professional Development in Applied Dance education from
both NORTHWESTERN AND ILLINIOIS STATE UNIVERSITY.
She attends numerous dance workshops and seminars throughout the year where she is instructed by
today’s prominent dance authorities to bring her students the latest dance
techniques and cutting edge routines.
